How to embrace a river

Next year one of the countries largest Room for the River projects will be completed within the city of Nijmegen. A large bypass of the river Waal creates an exciting new riverscape that offers a great opportunity to rediscover the cities excellent position on the water.

We have been asked by the cities Architectural Centre (ACN) to reflect on this intervention and stimulate the local debate on its meaning. Last Friday Florian was interviewed in the local newscafé by Rob Jaspers and shared his first reflections, which have also been published last Saturday in the regional paper. You can read the article here.

In the next months we will continue to explore the potential values of the new riverscape further.
