When the time-out exceeds the match
17.03.2011
With more than 60 people attending, the master class ‘time-out landscape’ in Twente was concluded with a presentation of the final results by the participants. DE URBANISTEN were involved as masters, together with BVR, SLeM and DUS-architects. Students were invited to reflect on the impact of so called pauzelandschappen and to design temporary or semi-permanent programs and spatial arrangements to activate urban spaces waiting for development. Dirk van Peijpe illustrated that time-out landscapes ask for a new approach to urban development and presented ‘Loose Fit: Design for shrinking’ as an exemplary project.
